Ronlop 6,882 Posted May 11, 2017 Share Posted May 11, 2017 The similarity between 'The Cure' and 'Heal Me' makes me think they were both recorded for ASIB but 'The Cure' didn't make it and was just released as a Gaga single. Read no further if you don't know how A Star Is Born ends. I'm not putting it in spoilers as it's common knowledge. As Cooper's character likely dies at the end and the male character most definitely will have addiction issues, it just seems like these songs could be written for his character. Perhaps Ally's music becomes focused around her desire to 'heal' her mentor struggling with an illness (addiction, etc). Gaga doesn't seem the type to just drop one random single. I wouldn't be surprised if The Cure is either part of ASIB, or perhaps a rejected song...or perhaps it will be the end credit song? Just theory.
