Now, even tho Gaga is huge here, but her songs are still not considered extremely popular! Her last viral hit in terms of GP was poker face (BTW slayed the charts but not many people know about it). So thats a major achievement for gaga that the cure is catching fire here! How do i measure the popularity? Through social media ofcourse, it all started when i was shamefully promoting the cure a day or two after its release, in my whatsapp story, when over night i got 8 messages asking the name of the song! I ofcourse being all macho n stuff just replied with a link to the audio. The Response? "Omg this song is amazing" "omg i love it" "WTF is this lady gaga?" The praise was not over yet, i have so far seen 5 whatsapp + instagram status with a screenshot of people listening to The Cure which is very very very rare! Atlast, in recent college function, the DJ played the cure and guess what? All of my friends love it even my gf (who dislikes gaga) bop to it.. when I first played the song to her she was like who's this I told her that its gagas new single and she was like oh god this can't be her and I was like . So idk where this is heading, in India atleast. Even not on Shazam charts. Ps If anyone has Gaana/Wynk Music, do check out the positions of the song.
