Arcanum 5,155
I know not what Joanne is missing, but I DO know that what was *not* missing was definitely the meltdowns. I Wantth your Love...I Wantth your Love.
Sorcerer 12,487
The only thing that Joanne lacked is the support from fans who can't move on from Gaga's past works. Songs don't need big choruses to be good. Songs don't need to be GAGA to be good. And Million Reasons has one of her best and most powerful choruses of all time. Joanne has one of her most intimate and soaring hooks.

I disagree. it doesn't matter what genre it is, if the chorus isn't memorable or catchy then it won't be as good to listen to. the same thing goes for rock, country, rap, jazz, etc. if there isn't some form of melody that truly sticks with you then it's not worth it (imo)

jxckk 959
The only song I felt this for was DIC especially the final chorus when she screams "dancin in circles, feels good to be lonely" and it just goes back to that regular monotone chorus, I feel she should have added adlibs or something their because its the most anticlimatic final chorus. I agree that some songs are really non-conventional and don't have regular "choruses" but I still think the melodies in general need to be well written for it to stand out. (and I respect your opinion too btw ❤️)

Especially at first. "It wasn't LAHVE" was drilled into my head all day long even when I wasn't listening to the song! It almost got annoying lol. I don't think Joanne was missing anything. I love it more than all her other albums (which I also love).
