beboskoukla 839
Hello my dear friends Thats a question i was always wondering. Who says where Gaga can have a concert? Gaga? Her managment? Or the arenas and stadiums where she is gonna play or even the country where she wants to play? for example this year (so far) she is not going to Greece or to Croatia and other countries. Didnt she wanna go or did someone say she cant go there? What do you think how this works? I would be very happy if someone can tell me and explain. Thank you very much! xoxo, Katarina

IllumiMark 974
I think it's also based on the commercial success an artist has in that particular country + how the album performed.
KleinGa 18,177
A combination of people: 1. the management (Haus) 2. event sponsors who bring artists to countries 3. UMG divisions in some countries reach out and usually push an artist to come to a country based on the commercial success of the artist in the particular country. 4. LiveNation - her touring management company (they sponsor the event when there is no sponsor in a location or co sponsor the event)

Im sure they do studies/surveys to gauge whether a country has enough fans who will buy tickets to ensure profit Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

Im sure they do studies/surveys to gauge whether a country has enough fans who will buy tickets to ensure profit I think this was done in Singapore with Coldplay which resulted in them having a sold out in 10 minutes show then having to add another show which then sold out in less than ten minutes. They ended up playing two shows in Singapore in a stadium with a 55k capacity....

Nicole 1,809
sponsors, sales, management. Gaga could be desperate to go to a certain country/area but if the sales/demand isn't there, management won't spend the money to make a loss.
venusfly 17,885
Bobby and other management in her label and haus do, based on previous tour performance and music sales in those countries. Live nation just promote the event, I don't believe they schedule dates.

It's probably all based on sales figures. Places where they have seen the most revenue from tickets in the past. Plus geographical location..... people travel for these things so I guess they try and find central locations etc god knows..... I'm still not sure why no Asia dates etc have been announced DIRTY PONY I CANT WAIT TO HOSE YOU DOWN
