I know exactly what you mean. I guess we just sort of have to have hope that TC will be different. Let's hope they have the MV on point and maybe concentrate on that radio support. Honestly I don't even care if she does not promote it on live tv..I just really hope her team work on radio and concentrate on making a great visual for TC. It is her trendiest song in years and to see it go to waste is disheartening.

Oh c'mon. Just saying "it's disgusting" and coming from a Little Monster already hints bias. It stays biased unless their use of the adjective "disgusting" is qualified.

Of course Katy can serve up a tasty music video with high production and replay factor. Of course her team can bring her the biggest collabs and the best new ways to promote herself to the top of the charts. This is because this is Katy's job, this is her sole way of making money. Gaga does not need all that. Sure, Gaga's music career is important to her and her team, but I think Interscope caught on years ago that Gaga will make money wherever and whatever she does. She's a talented Golden Globe winning actress who's filming a movie with Bradley Cooper, and performs well without the need for high production music videos or big collabs, Joanne shows that. Gaga could make a hit if she wanted to, and The Cure is evidence of that. You simply cannot compare them. Sure Katy's video is nice, but ultimately, Gaga can bring success in so many other attributes, Katy can only rely on her image as a pop star.

Agreed. No one was complaining when Bad Romance depicted women (aka Gaga) being sold to a bunch of men.. the fandom was also fine with Judas despite the blatant religious symbols and her saying she's in love with the devil (even if it is just a metaphor  ) .

Normally I'd agree, but there are some fairly graphic visuals in this. It's not hard to see why someone would find a body being mangled as if it were dough disgusting, for example. The "objectification" stuff I don't get, that is a reach imo. But Katy being vacuum packed, moulded by a group of men, boiled and prepared for cooking makes for a viewing that is likely disturbing to some viewers. Not to mention her getting ready to eat a plate of human remains at the end.
