Question is, what will eventually stick? i say Selena is a given, Miley is 50/50 but more on the "given" side, while that 1D member will probably flop. Especially that I'm a big sucker for new music. With AM, I can download all of them right away. I just need to pay the monthly membership fee which is much cheaper than buying them one by one. I only buy Gaga songs to show support on iTunes chart. Another factor is the accessibility. Before, you need to do your own playlist and think of the songs that you like and fits the theme of the playlist. But with these streaming services, you can just type "relaxing" or "top hits" or "80s" etc and a set of playlist will appear before you containing the songs new/top hits/classic in it. YT was nailing all of those but they decided to add ads in between the vids . Lastly, space. You can just press the play button and the songs will play, songs that you hand picked or from the playlist of your interest. No downloads needed. Although phones/laptops memory are huge nowadays, still downloading songs is toxicating. I remember in my old laptop where I have like thousands of songs and 90% of them I don't want to listen anymore. It was a pain in the ass . But with streaming services, you can listen to a whole bunch of songs, mark favorite the ones that you like and download those songs that snatched your wig. Now that's something YT lacked.
