Miley did country but never was this crazy in pop before so she wanted to create that atmosphere of nostalgia with this "change-back". The song is a little underwhelming but I'm sure it'll smash considering she has 13RW and last album success. Would be brilliant for Gaga to release something this weekend. I'd love the UO collab to include something for The Cure, potentially a video played in stores. I really do think Interscope want this to be a hit, they've put money into it already, it's just about boosting it again so it doesn't fade into new releases.
