When did everyone start loving ARTPOP?

Never  I don't hate it, but it's far from great. 

ARTPOP as an album in my humble opinion is a mess.

It has a bunch of songs (that while they are pretty good alone) do not make a cohesive album when put together.  In places some of the production sounds messy and like the songs were both unfinished and overproduced at the same time. The concept the era represented didn't match the album.

We could belong together, but some of these songs definitely do not  Some people like the chaos of it, but it's not for me.

I think people appreciate it more now because of Joanne, lool, they were expecting another pop album for LG5 & when it turned out to be country/folk ppl realized they had to be more grateful for PopGa! (imo, im still not into ARTPOP though)

gaga pushed pop culture one step too far and it was a little overwhelming for EVERYONE to connect to and for it to click at first. but now, when we've got used to what she wanted to achieve with ARTPOP, and realized that it wasn't the musics fault but the promo, we start to listen to the MUSIC and enjoy it for what it is.

Personally, I adore the whole ARTPOP project (and I'm pissed not every single little detail that Gaga wanted to do with it got fulfilled because it would've gone down the history books had she got to do what seh wanted to do with that era) and tbh I think that when Gaga no longer is on this Earth, everyone will appreciate it. Today's generations simply don't deserve that kind of music.

After Joanne I started loving ARTPOP  

I mean, Fashion! Demo version is SO ****ING GOOD I've been bopping to it for weeks now! Also Venus, MJH, DWUW (solo)... Every track (even JnD) is flawless

I don't get it. When Beyoncé dropped a surpise visual album I was told Beyoncé was what ARTPOP should've been. Thread after thread compared the two unfavorably. When Marina released FROOT suddenly that's what ARTPOP should'be been and the Diamonds on here told me that I was biased for liking ARTPOP more?

It's a really good album. It was just hyped really heavily with things not panning out and then Gaga was having meltdowns and rollout through the singles cycle was disastrous. A clean surprise visual album drop would have been much better received. Over time, though, a lot of ARTPOP songs have grown on us hard.

Sometimes the masterpieces aren't loved for being ahead of their time, then time passes and everyone realises that the album didn't deserve the hate. Hope everyone appreciates it now, ARTPOP is my favorite and hope everyone fall in love with that album.

ARTPOP is what brought me back to Lady Gaga and what ultimately made me a Stan. I remember reading comments about how it was the worst album and how many people were quick to dismiss it came down to her discography! I also remember someone saying that the people who actually enjoyed it had no substance because if you enjoy someone's "bad work" it meant that you had "bad taste" and therefore your opinions didn't matter.

I remember this one time on the old LM site that she'd post fragments of the album cover and got so excited after making out what it was piece by piece. Looking back it was hilarious, but still ARTPOP has aged real well, and the music's always been fun to listen to. 

I think it's just that some peeps never really appreciated it all that much bc it was so different from what she came up with before and what others expected so they took their soreness all the way home. 

The meltdowns were hilarious tho, have to admit
