I didn't pay attention to 'fourth' and I RAN, I thought she was straight up realeasing vinyl pre-orders of a new album without teasing anything and without a digital pre-order, like she had just gone insane :air: and after realeasing This Is Acting again back in like october :air:

OT: I haven't listened to this record yet, but someday I will, same with We Are Born :lolly:

Not The Real Gaga

In the beginning I really loved Sia, but her songs sounds almost always the same for me. She is a great artist and her like her bobs as Cheap Thrills and Chandelier, but I always think when I listen to one of her songs: "I've heard this before. A thousand times."

Hopefully she can surprise me this time :)

Her pre-Chandelier stuff isn't what you'd call "I'd heard this before songs". I'd definitely recommend, it's really unique, at least to what I've heard :D

LMAO I just read "Sia" "Music News" and "Is Available" and thought she had just dropped a new album out of nowhere. I just had a protein shake and reading this triggered my stomach. :air:

"Some People Have Real Problems" is a great album though, so it's nice that she's doing this now. I don't buy vinyls but it'd be nice to get a couple just as a collection.

This is not new music. And she's been releasing albums since early 2000s, but she had to sell herself and become mainstream to be recognized. Her music before Chandelier is way better than what she is doing. She is now just selling the songs that she writes for other artists, not her real ones. Chandelier is not her beginning xd

To be honest, her early music is classes above her new stuff. Gorgeous music and top-notch songwriting.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Y'all really need to listen to Sia's older stuff, it's fantastic, waaaaay better than 1000 forms of fear and This Is Acting (specially this one), her new music is loud, repetitive and one note (this mostly applies to TIA, 1000 is really good) while her older albums are more mellow and nuanced :nails:.

This album was released prior to 1000 Forms of Fear, which is when her current sound developed. So, you'll be surprised as the songs are quite different from what you heard on 1000 Forms and This is Acting. :excited2:

Anything starting during and after 1FOF has become generic and repetitive. It's not just you. :ladyhaha: Everything before is a masterpiece.

KING5KAT

We Are Born is my favourite Sia album, followed by 1000 Forms Of Fear

And I didn't even realise she covers a Madonna song on it until the other day :reductive:
