After a decent performance of her lead single (not even compared to ROAR) Katy Perrier, who is known for never being extremely sexy or sexual like Britney, Madonna, Gaga etc...  never showing too much skin, being raunchy or things like that

What's the MOST obvious move for desesperate female pop artist that wants easy and big exposure for her next material after a underperformed (IM NOT SAYING FLOP) release?

Yes! release a music video that SHOCKS, makes people talk and have a LOT of controversy and replay factor, wich maybe will lead to streaming and sales? 

Sadly, since the beggining of times womens thinks when people is getting bored of them is time to show skin and instead of get more creative and find inner inspiration like Beyoncé, they usually follow the easy route, the sexy route

In a desesperate attempt, they want to prove they can still be OBJECTIFIED, that they still got it...

 

I wonder if Taylow Swift one day is going to follow this tendency, becuz i know for a fact that Selena and Ariana will

The song is exclusively about sex, so this is no surprise. I'm shocked she's shooting a video. There is no saving the song and it is so substandard, why would she even want to? She needs to cut the song from her album tracklist and re-evaluate the direction of the album. If she wants to make purposeful pop, you can't have a song with a line like 'spread my legs like a buffet' on the tracklist.

Women being sexual is not a move of desperation and it's a little misogynistic you'd think that tbh  Men can be sexual in videos but it's almost never described as a "move of desperation" as people do with pop girls.

That being said, obviously it's going to be a sexual video  The song is sexual itself. Also the video was shot already I believe so regardless if it's a sexual video, the reasoning behind it isn't that "she underperformed now she needs to make a viral sexy video!"

You are missing my point, im talking about a very specific times in their careers, when they underperformed

every one of them were sexy before or after a flop (or an average success), thats why im a Britney fan, if i have a problem with females being sexy i would start since Ima Slave 4 you or California Gurls BUT NOOOOO, im talking about why they feel the need to be ESPECIFICALLY EXTREMELY SEXUAL after a "decent" era, so don't look for drama here
