Oh yeah, he was desperate, disgraceful, and not actually a Democrat to begin with.

He did go after her speeches but aside from that, he didn't really personally attack her. The primary was mostly issues oriented. Plus, it's not like she didn't personally attack him. Hillary failed miserably at connecting to the Democratic party. She was way too middle of the road, and tried appealing to Republicans who were against Trump, rather than appealing to her own party. From an outsiders perspective it seems more like that Trump is president because the USA employs a faulty system of democracy that weights the voices of arch-conservative states twice as much as the voices of liberal states. I mean... Hillary won the popular vote. Still. With 2 million votes more. There were tons of problems in the election last year, it would be silly to say that there's one specific reason why everything went to sh*t. Yes, Hillary cozying up with Wall Street was one. But Bernie Sanders rallying stubborn misogynist dudebros that just wanted free weed behind him was a problem too. It's not one or the other, it's both at the same time. There's still a major division within the Democrats at the moment and one camp is trying to place the blame on the other even though they equally f*cked up. Bernie bros, at their core, are still men who felt that their power was being threatened if they were to support a woman for the highest office in the nation. Sure, MOST Bernie bros ended up voting for Hillary, but not before they went into the mud, dragging her for the most inane, useless, baseless claims they could come up with. I mean, really, EMAILS? SPEECHES? Puh-lease. Before Bernie Slanders came along, we were unified, and we had a vision. The vehicle to deliver that vision was Hillary. She obliterated Slanders from the start, but at the peak of his desperation, he went nuclear and caused a rift in the party that lead all the way to the general election. The moral of the story is that words have consequences. When Bernie says one desperate, terrible thing during the primary, yet says another during the general election, people doubt his sincerity, and that's a double hit on Hillary. His existence is parasitic. He'll rely on exploitation of others for his own selfish gain. My God That generalization of Sanders supporters. Well, I for one do not feel the way you described his supporters AT ALL. As for the rift, it was already there. Bernie is a voice for many people. He put some of these voices in the spotlight. Hillary lost in key states and her campaigning wasn't good in states like Michigan, for example. A failed campaign in key states + scandals + being the 'establishment' candidate in an age where many people were tired of it = her loss. We need someone with no dirty history who is a progressive. Oh, look. I almost described Obama, a candidate who won twice despite the adversity. Not everyone can win and it wasn't in the books that Hillary would win, sorry about it. I know the opposition folder we had on Mr. Slanders, including his OWN Russian ties, and many, many other doozies. That folder wasn't touched. We were so far ahead during the entire primary that we knew we would only be hurting ourselves in the general by going into the mud and potentially alienating his supporters. I will give him this much: at first, he was running a positive campaign. But when he reached his peak of desperation, he went south quick. Remember this guy? "Vote blue no matter who" NO. Vote blue for whoever is representing us best and isn't in bed with corporations. Someone who wants progress to actually occur in this country. I refuse to blindly support whoever the DNC thinks is fit and we just have to swallow what they're serving. I like the fact that we actually disagree and exchange ideas despite having the same liberal ideology. With that being said, we need to get out and vote to get candidates across all parts of the country to actually represent us. How's that working out? Look at Trump and his cabinet. Look at the Supreme Court. Look at Congress. At least people have their "principles" as this government makes decisions to screw over the most vulnerable in our society and impact generations to come. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Bt1 5,213
There is nothing wrong with presidents giving speeches on big money. Come on. Some second hand celebrits are paid more for appearances or endormesments that they dont really care about. But we choose to be hypocritical and want good politicians to be more than that. We want them to be Jesus, poor and do nothing. While we let bad politicians win with hate speech and ugly things. It is disappointing to see Bernie do this now. Obama just received a 65 million dollar publishing deal from Penguin Random House, the largest publishing deal in Presidential history. He receives a 200,000 dollar annul pension. He charges almost half a million dollars for interviews and speeches. His net worth is expected to be over 40 million dollars. Obama is not poor. No one is asking or expecting Obama to be poor. If you don't prosecute any Wall Street CEO's (or as Obama called them, "fat cat bankers") after the financial crisis, than start accepting six figure checks from them after your time in office, it creates a troubling optic. It makes sense that Sanders and Warren who are trying to make the claim that their Party fights income inequality and Wall Street greed better than the Republican Party would publicly condemn Obama's decision to join the Clinton's on the Wall Street speaking circuit. If inflating your income takes a front seat to your ideology, or you think it's perfectly reasonable to profit off of the privilege of public service (something you and Trump have in common) it's probably best for our country that you don't run for office. Did I mention Obama anywhere in my statement?! I was talking in general. And while I agree that we must fight off Wall Street as a political party, I on the other hand do NOT agree with purity/litmus tests! Which is where I see the Democratic Party heading towards unfortunately... Also, don't presume to tell me what I should or should not run for in my own personal life, you don't know me like that. And if the Democratic Party continues to splinter it's self & be divided like this, than we DESERVE to lose again in the future! And inevitably let this country fall into an oligarchy state/country, where everything is privatized & theology is the cultural norm of the day... Which is what will happen if republicans remain in control... Egypt. W
