I don't wanna come for her, but she's doing super fine commercially with being honest a small amount of backlash. I thought she was a little stronger than that. It's kinda true, but the way she was in the livestream worries me a bit, idk why 광야로 걸어가 알아 네 home ground

JohnWayne23 5,227
Im not saying she is but.. I can see why an artist could have a mental breakdown as they start to see their success fading. Like that's life altering.
Fusel 1,109
I feel like the world has changed so much since she's last been in the spotlight and she's struggling to find her artistic identity (or rather she's suffering from her label not finding that identity but forcing something on to her) i'm not sure tho
Married the Night 3,955
There is no indication she is crying because of the hate she is getting.

LittleHooker 3,079
When it comes down to it, these are real people. Regardless of what we the GP expect them to be able to handle 'because they chose to be famous' they are still just vulnerable people sharing there work with us, that's a huge deal. Katy has had a really strong discography and if you begin to believe you are universally adored, and expect instant gratification from everything that you put out. Then it must be really difficult to cope with , plus she will be exhausted and her emotions will be high anyway.

YeehawKylie 7,817
I typically hate the ARTPOP comparisons, as ARTPOP had quality music was anything but safe, and essentially the result of overexposure and internal management issues for Gaga. That being said, I hope we can all have sympathy for Katy as what she's going through now is very similar to what Gaga went through in 2013 and it clearly hurt her very much. It's not about 'the bling' it's about having your work discarded. Chained to the Rhthym and Bon Apetit are not good songs, lack vision, but it may not be Katy's fault. We don't know what her label is doing. Her label may know she's known for pop bangers and not purposeful pop and be pushing her to be 'young and hip' when she herself has matured a bit. gagagoogoose 30,952
We should be a little kinder to her during this era. You don't know what's going on in her personal life. She just had a break-up and her new releases/looks aren't well-received by the GP. She's an overachiever and this may affect her more than you think. The music industry isn't very supportive of female artists right now, so be more compassionate towards them.

I kind of feel like it's the opposite? I feel like with this era, she's really trying to push herself to task risks, and it seems like she might be at odds with her label who probably wants her to continue to release her generic bops.
