I like classical music but I am not down for it. Famous pianists are famous for their skills in classical pieces, often personalizing them. Gaga can be very good at piano but I see her playing a classical piece as pointless unless she is as good as an actual classical music pianist.

I would be down if she could take a totally different rendition of a well-known piece, maybe Moonlight Sonata, as Fazil Say did with Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca.

I see your point but some people thought or think Gaga's jazz with Tony was pointless because there are people who dedicate their lives to singing jazz and Gaga could never be as good as them in singing that genre. I just feel like anything musical that Gaga really puts her mind to ends up being really good and special in her own way because of her innate musical talent and ability to convey emotion,  even if it isn't the best.

I'm having trouble picturing people actually loving this. Like, you sit down to watch Gaga perform and she doesn't even sing? And all of the people saying they're here for it would genuinely be happy? :sure:

Well I just think it would be totally cool to see her perform that way. Maybe not at an awards show but...

I'd love her to really work on her piano skills and get to the Elton John/ Diana Krall/ Norah Jones level of playing with her singing, or just playing.

I think she should just incorporate more piano into some of her songs. She can play pop on piano and I'd love that on her albums.

I've always thought this. Maybe not the entire performance, or maybe she could sing but allow the piano to tell the story rather than dancing and moving around a lot. It's so same old to see an award show where everyone dances and sings. Id even love for her to pull a SIA and have other people tell the story while she does the piano and sings. She doesn't show off her piano skills enough and id love for her to make time to brush up on it and not lose the ability.

Thinking of the Paparazzi Acoustic version with theatrics.

I'm not here for it. Enough of the toned down stuff. I'm here for a crazy performance with awesome choreography.

Crazy hard piano solo with dancers dancing along.

Its hard to tell because she usually plays chords or embellished cords to compliment her voice. The piano never gets to be the star of the show. We have never seen her play anything complicated. There is a video of her playing a bit of a ragtime tune from 2009 however and it sounded good to me.

I feel like she has to be good though. Wasn't she going to go to Julliard for piano? There was a time in her childhood when she was a better piano player than a singer.

Paparazzi vma was the only time where piano got a bigger part on an award show tbh

She should definitely do something like that at the beginning of a performance to just wow the audience :staymad:

Yes a bit of classic piece would make it more theatrical and add a bit of mystery to the performance People all know she can sing now but people love surprises

Especially when a person with a Normal look and suddenly he/she plays classic pieces just imagine ...

It'll be like Oscar 2015 again
