ASIB is set to be released next year in September but it will already reach the Oscar nominee deadline. So it will be nominated at the 2020 Oscars. Would GGD be a mess if she loses the Oscar? :air:

If the Sam Smith debacle is any indication, this site won't exist anymore if she looses. :lana:

But let's be real, the Oscars don't hand out awards like the Golden Globes do :lana:

Oscar deadline isn't the same as Grammys, it's at the end of the year. So she will be nominated (for the Razzies :giggle:) in 2019.

The probability that Gaga wins an Oscar for A Star Is Born is below antarctic degrees.

The fact that she's recording a movie now and we won't get to see her win an award (if she does) for nearly 3 more years :toofunny:

I feel like we've been talking about her winning an Oscar for this film for years and they've only just started shooting

Pretty sure she will be nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song winning the second one.

Best Original Song would probably go to the composer with the most writing credits like it was with Til It Happens To You, which means Elton John (or somebody else).

And she can't compete with the Best Actresses from now.

Not to be too negative, but I seriously doubt she'll win an Oscar for this project.

Firstly, every time they remake ASIB (and there are four of them) the critical receptions seems to drop. Secondly, with the upmost respect, it's unlikely her acting will be Oscar standard for her first film- look how long it took Leo to win an Oscar.

She might have a shot with Best Original Song, but it depends what else is released around the same time.
