wow.

the run down:

-American Airlines employee got mad at a mother for trying to store a stroller over head.

-he grabbed the stroller out of her hands and knocked her in the face with the stroller

-she had her baby in her arms

-a man in first class got mad and started defending the woman

-first class passenger started yelling at the employee who came back on the flight

-the employee became physically threatening towards the passenger.

Oh my god, what's wrong with these people? How can you do that to anybody and especially to a woman with a baby?!

Hope he/the airline gets sued!

I honestly hope all these incidents lead to reformation of how airlines operate. It's not unlike cable/internet providers. Customers get treated like garbage and we really don't have an option but to take it...

Irrelevant

Are American airlines in general having some problems? Like Air China's quality isn't that good (food, tvs, overall compared) but the staff is really nice and helpful. I also haven't heard any of these things happening internationally outside the US too?

I work in a company, which is specialised in ITC solutions for the Air Traffic Industry (ATI).

I get on a daily basis a briefing/press review about the global ATI and it really seems so, that the US-American airlines have more often "violent incidents" like this with their passengers in comparsion to European or Asian airlines...

Ok granted she wasnt listening to instructions but...

The response is completely inexcusable especially with a baby!!!

PS: im being badly influenced by culture as I commented before whatching the video. Ill whatch it now :neyde:

EDIT: Ok yeah employee was inexcusable. But then the man was stirring sh*t up again after it started to calm down plus he made threats

Mother: Shoulda listen to instructions. Having a baby doesnt mean you get a free pass from doing things properly as expected

Employee: Should have stayed proffessional and not lash out especially with a baby. That was unacceptable

Passanger: Was fine to defend her innitially but should not continually have stirred up the situation and making physical threats especially after it was already calming down.

The way I see it, all 3 were partially to blame for 1 degree or another

I don't like babies, and they are the worst on planes. Clearly the woman is fine and it was likely an accident caused by her not following the rules properly. People are stupid in general, and sometimes their stupidity can make a sensibile or reasonable person become crazy.

If you have every worked in the service industry in any way, there is a chance you could sympathize with this person a but. Could be a bad day, and that first class passenger may have also been threatening or becoming irate. This is hardly the same as the United situation.

What? Clearly the woman isn't fine because she's crying, and so was the baby. And, liking babies has nothing to do with the situation.

While I agree that the situation could have been prevented if the woman followed instructions and not put the stroller in the overhead, she was obviously in distress. If it was an accident, then I don't think the man in first class would have been so worked up about it. The employee could have apologized for hitting her, and even if he did, he obviously didn't make it clear because both the man and woman were worked up about it.

I read he is suspended now, but I hope this incident will be put to justice.

Also he dare trying to threat first class passenger, that is a sure way to get you out of job lmao
