Another false theory. The Cure was only recorded recently, there will be no EP. It's a standalone single, and wasn't intended for Joanne. Get y'all facts straight.

Which is funny, because back in 2011 when she was promoting Judas on a radio station/show, she said she will never do a wide release Jazz album, just some kind of a holiday special something

There is virtually no way Gaga would choose to do an entire trop house trendy mainstream album.... although if the label was trying to force it on her it would easily explain Joanne as her natural reaction to it.

No, it totally wasn't, it was supposed to be a solid pop album, not raw/organic sounding, then she scrapped the whole concept and took the Mark Ronson rockish/country/funk sound route, take a look back at this thread

I'm happy this happened because I'm in no real rush for a tropical house Gaga-album yet, but Joanne is still FIRE.  The album is so damn REAL and still fresh for me. It's her only album besides C2C where real instruments take the lead... Maybe that is why I like it so much. 

I'd prefer an EP to compliment Joanne, not leave it in the dust.

You dont have proof there wont be an EP tho. It's called a rumor for a reason and I said all the 8 tracks.
