Nafen 417
I don't even have to ask because I know the answer is the same for many of you, like me, that LG has changed our lives. Not all fans feel this way but many do. When I listen to her music and hear her voice it brings me to this place, it focuses me. It's more than just a euphoria from good music, she is really, really empowering. She also influenced me, as a teen growing up watching her interviews, to stand up for what I believe in, to fight; but to be sensible and to be kind and to compromise as well. She helped me through my sexuality and really helped normalize LGBTQ folks it in Western society by pushing boundaries and pushing forward the conversations, it was already happening no doubt but she did her part, and it is still an ongoing fight in many ways. I will never forget when she went to Russia and pretty much asked to be arrested! Lady Gaga continues to this day to light a fire in me and help me through hard times and although I do not like every song of hers 100%, I stand by her 100% because I know she stands by me 100%. I mean isn't that what Come To Mama is all about? I feel like I'm really rambling now and getting a little emotional writing this. I just wanted to counter some of the earlier negative threads. I don't understand the fans that insult Gaga personally when she's done so much for us. You don't have to like every song, no body does, but why go after Gaga herself so cruelly? Her career and passion is based on pleasing us fans, and we all have different tastes and desires, she has to balance that and of course what she herself wants to do. Imagine how hard that is for LG... I think The Cure is a really great song, the lyrics and lullaby verses really stand out to me and I do not think it sounds generic. LG just wants to fix people with her love, how can anybody hate a song about that? Kinda breaks my heart.

Letmelivemylife 8,715
My best friend and I still think "the cure" is "I wanna be with you 2.0". 9 short years ago I was an ex drug addict who was angry at the world because I felt like I got the short end of the stick in life. I avoided mirrors and got dressed in the dark because I honest to god hated myself. I tried to commit suicide 4 times because I just wanted the pain to stop. Gaga forced me in a way to look at my reflection and to tell myself "I am beautiful and worthy of love". She saw how shattered I was but that didn't matter because to her, I was the most beautiful creation God ever made. She "glued" me back together and created a home (little monsters) where I could be myself without fear of persecution. She never told me to wipe my makeup off because it was ugly or to not wear thigh high boots because it made me look like a *****. She loved me unconditionally for the quirky, sassy, artsy girl that I am. She became the "mama" I never had. She taught me to be fierce and independent and to never ever settle for second best. People always tell me "you're so loud and sassy" and I just smile to myself and say "yeah I get it from my mama". She'll always be "mama" to me because she was there when no one else was ♥️ I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Hush now baby don't you cry". She'll always be mama monster and it breaks her heart to see us so sad and so this is her way of saying "I'm gonna make it all better sweetheart so don't cry". The instinct to take care of us will always be there. In her eyes, we'll always be her little monsters ♥️ I love you monsters.
