Versace 7,959 Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Lets settle this Interested to see what the majority of you think I think it's off an upcoming EP (the pop scraps that didn't make Joanne ) I don't think it's a stand alone single Reason: She said I've been in the studio lately and that she wants to share a song with us Why would Gaga go into the studio just for one song to release whenever for whatever. Even if the song is radio-friendly doubt Gaga would go into the studio pay dust to Joanne (third single nowhere to be found) just for a hit. I call some sort of pop project considering how Joanne is the first Gaga album that is truly lacking in uptempo pop records. I don't think it's a song off a Joanne Re-release, sounds nothing like a Joanne song lol , it will demolish the album's cohesiveness. Also guys all these concerns of a possible EP overshadowing Joanne during the Joanne world tour. Remember Joanne to Gaga is way more than just an album. During the Coachella performance she said my name is Joanne. So it's like saying Lady Gaga world tour. The name is more flexible than you think. Most people will be there to a hear a collection of Gaga songs and not all of Joanne (which as an album is not that uptempo to fully be played at a tour full of people wanting to rave n dance). If an EP is out , the EP plus half of Joanne would makeup the tour with JD,PK,BTW and BR thrown somewhere. Part of ASIBS seriously ? Usually, as a creative artist, you won't be "going to the studio" and "making music" and only making one song. I just don't want to get my hopes up, and the fact she's said nothing makes me cautious. Greatest Hits is also plausible, but I remember her sounding quite against the idea. That being said, isn't her Interscope contract nearing its conclusion? Or am I making that up? No one makes GH albums anymore, so it's not that. ASIB isn't coming for another 1.5 years, so that's ruled out too. This leaves two options: Standalone, or part of a new EP. The thing is, Gaga is always recording stuff. By the time she found a clear direction for a new album, 80% of what's been recorded never sees the light of day - for once, I guess she just wanted to share something without having to wait more than a year before figuring out whether the song fits a new body of work or not. BUT I have a feeling it's just going to be a stand-alone single. She has too much on her plate right now and promoting another album probably isn't on the cards. Unless she's approaching it in a completely different way. It's also possible there's a greatest hits in the works, but I'm leaning more towards EP for some reason. If it is, it'd be a nice quick way to cut the cord. I think she signed a 5-Album record If TFM does not count then yes a Greatest Hits record or any record at that could cut the cord.
