LATimes: Gaga at Coachella 'was an absolute thrill — until it wasn't'

Lady Gaga, to quote one of her many hits, was on the edge of glory.

Headlining Coachella on Saturday night in front of the weekend’s biggest crowd so far, the pop superstar gave as thrilling and complex a performance as any I’ve ever seen at the annual desert festival. It was wild but controlled, funny but scary, deeply tender yet filled with aggression.

Or at least that’s how it felt for about 45 minutes.

That’s when Lady Gaga, so close to greatness that even we in the audience could taste it, sadly stalled out, her momentum undone by poor song choices and a coarse promotional plug that made the whole show feel like a mere inducement to buy something.

Shame on Gaga! I can't believe she used a promotion opportunity to promote her new single! :grr:

Tbh she seemed tired and not there. It was good but at the same time not good.

I didn't get that at all from her performance. She seemed like she was totally in the moment.

I felt that she was extremely tired throughout the whole thing. Not sure if it was the desert, or...

The outfit choices were also terrible...

LA Times is trash 'journalism' like always. They couldn't even justify their point of view objectively and properly.

LA TIMES: ....Lady Gaga premiered “The Cure,” a new single she hadn’t spoken of until then. It’s an intriguing midtempo pop-soul jam ....

BS

The crowd actually WOKE UP after the new song. They were singing Speechless/You & I and they were dancing. They called encore after MR remix, they wanted more.

Stupid review. :nails:

Mister Gaga

It was really, really messy. She was off all time, the outfits were terrible (aside from the Scheisse one, which was flawless), she looked bored..

I couldn't take them seriously after they compared it to Madonna - Human Nature tbh
