I may be biased because it's Gaga, but her lyrics are much more powerful than anything else, in complete honesty. Also, even if you don't want her to go in a generic direction, this is almost a guaranteed summer hit. This is what the radio wants, and she and Bobby and Interscope are smart for doing this now. It's what she's needed. Also, some people complain when she doesn't put out a trendy pop song, and then when she does they complain that she's being too generic. Pick a side, it's pointless. Stop reading after that. I don't agree that's it's generic. It's a fckin good pop song. 'And if you say you don't are okay, I'm gonna heal you anyway.' I've not seen a person yet who loved pre2011 gaga complain about The Cure. She appeased a quarter of the fanbase with Joanne And she's appeasing the rest of us and the world with TC. Yay everyone should be happy It's not like that. well, not me for sure, but god, this bridge is amazing, so darkish and great. Sugar, spice, and everything nice. ApplauseftAdele 4,730
We didn't want her to put out a generic pop song we wanted a bop that was still Gaga. Think poker face, Alejandro - level song

Generic doesn't mean bad, it's just not groundbreaking! I had it stuck in my head a bit ago and it kind of sounds like Starving by that Hailee girl. I love the song, don't get me wrong, but it's just not the most revolutionary thing she's done

Yay everyone should be happy Joanne is my favorite album of hers, except for maybe BTW, it changes on the daily, but I love The Cure. It's cute, it's happy, it's on trend, and it's a throwback to what she's done and to the early 2000's but still fresh and what's on the radio now. Lumi 3,512
MY opinion: I've always been very supportive of Gaga and have always loved what she's put out. Now, I don't like "The Cure" that much, not because "it's trendy" (which it is now) but because it reminds me of the 90's music and I have a love/hate relationship with that kind of songs. I hope it does well though and I'll be here supporting it! underneath the pine

I love it, and it has such a good place in her discography and it's so refreshing after the heaviness of TFM, BTW, AP, and Joanne.
