Her vocals are very soft and beautiful. If it's thrown on Spotify and given plenty of attention, it will be a chart-topper. You all need to understand that Million Reasons was not exactly widely recognized and loved by the GP, particularly not upon first drop. She needs a connection to the streaming audience, and if she can manage it with this, all of her music from here on out will be much more accepted. This is an EXTREMELY safe single, sound and aesthetic to attempt to crack the GP with, and everybody needs to stop pretending DIC would have been so much better just because it talks about touching yourself- You know, edgy™. Like, come on. I will be right by your side I'll fix you with my love I'm gonna heal you anyway Come on. This is super sweet. You all know it. If you can't find one positive and believe it's too generic, at least appreciate that she didn't write some meaningless drivel about being forever young and selfies. At a minimum, this can be an ode to how much she loves her monsters. Aside from that, imagine the video... Say they made a cute lil thing about Gags falling in love with someone who is hurt and comforting them for whatever reason... 'Promise I'll be the cure...' The DIFFERENCE between Perfect Illusion and this is incredible. When I first heard PI, I was cringing, like '' this is it? '' and it took me a good amount of listens to get into it. The Cure hooked me up with a good feeling instantly. In mainstream pop standards, it is generic, but from Gaga standards, it's actually something different. I don't mind if she '' sells out '' and starts making boring, bland pop again, because it's definitely working for me personally. If someone disagrees, I understand. But I feel like Gaga has done enough boundary pushing and trying to be something BIG, I think she has nothing to prove anymore and if she wants to go mainstream pop, that's cool, because I KNOW she'll deliver.
