China is getting fed up with NK, especially now that their 'replacement' for Kim, the half brother, has been killed. In case of a war between NK and SK, China will do everything it can to make sure they don't border a pro-US country. They'll prefer the status quo, invade the whole country or get their own dictator in.

In terms of war, it's not North Korea but China that the U.S need to worry about - The last thing China wants is a destabilized North Korea that leads to a rush of millions of impoverished, uneducated North Korean immigrants rushing past their border and destabilizing their country... That's part of the reason why China has somewhat allied itself with North Korea (With the other reasons being, they don't want NK's nukes aimed at them and they don't want a strong united Korea that's allied with the U.S). China would almost certainly intervene to unilateral American military action against North Korea.

You're right, I don't think we are at WWIII but the risk of nuclear war is serious. Trump needs to know what he is doing, he can't be acting based on impulse or emotion.

I would never ever want to see millions of people die. I meant that they wouldn't mess with us because we could do that, not saying we would or that is the right thing to do.

NK launches a surprise missile strike on Japan. The US launches a strike back and accidentally hits a swarm of Chinese fighter jets. The Chinese launch their nukes on the US in retaliation. BOOM, WWIII.

That wouldn't happen. Our military is much smarter for that happen. We have a low failure rate. NK would never hit Japan because they know our power and what we can do.

I am not even close to 9. It is true, NK wouldn't bomb Japan because we could attack them easily. And that is not what Trump says, thats what most people say.

I'm sure you don't, but if Trump is threatening the sovereignty of North Korea and if they are discussing the possibility of changing the leadership - then they might very well launch a nuke. 

I would highly doubt they would randomly launch, despite their 'aggression' the nukes are really there as protection. The U.S has invaded and bombed countries with crazy, dictators that are oppressing their citizens, a nuclear weapon makes the U.S think twice about going to war.

If North Korea really feels like they are threatened though, it could be a potential disaster with countless lives lost.
