Jenniferella 2,774
Yes, but still isn't 'iconic' after 10 years of being in the bizznizz. And Gaga was considered 'iconic' after like 3 years... Excuse me really but what you just said is just a bunch of crap. What the hell does "iconic" mean tho ? She's EVERYWHERE "I have been writing LG5 since I was 13"
GagaSlayedYou 2
She is already an icon.
Phoenix 17,395
She does not represent anything. Has no message. It's like she's doing it just for money. She doesn't have anything that signatures her except c.brown. 💎
Haldy 1,058
Let us not let this album hype get to us, Rih CONSISTENTLY slays the world Surely Beyoncé has also? Even 4's sales, which were poor for her and considered a flop, can be matched to Rated R and Unapologetic's sales. Otherwise Beyoncé's track record of highly successful albums and singles as well as worldwide acknowledgment as a huge artist trump Rihanna's completely. Cerny 4,270
How so? She's always on the radio. Beyonce is big thanks to Jay-z. She does not represent anything. Has no message. It's like she's doing it just for money. She doesn't have anything that signatures her except c.brown. Her voice is pretty unique.

Well she's not the only one with unique voice. PatrickMonster 6,017
lol she's much bigger than Gaga right now, are you living under a rock?
Guest
This is something that I've been thinking for a long time. Rihanna has had dozens of hits in the last years, has a great voice, great body and many records. She is a big star, but I think she could've been much bigger actually. She's had 36 top 40 hits in my country and her records sell well... But why isn't she a huge star??? These are the reasons I can up with, but I'm not sure if they actually are the reasons for her 'lack' of success: - She doesn't tour a lot. - Because she releases a record every year, it's quality isn't great.. There's not too much effort put into it. - She doesn't have a clear message for her fans I just wanted to discuss this with y'all, because I've been thinking about this for a long time... And of course, I know she is a big star, I just feel like she could've been way bigger by now... Edit: I feel like she still isn't considered 'iconic' after 10 years of being in da bi'nizz, something that Gaga earned after just a couple of years... no
Martijn 1,042
lol she's much bigger than Gaga right now, are you living under a rock? Yet Gaga is considered 'iconic' and Rihanna isn't...
Guest
When Gaga sings acoustic I don't really know who to choose.. Rihanna is great acoustically too But Rihanna is better at singing and dancing at the same time, Gaga is out of key a lot or just plays loud pre-recorded vocals... OMG YOU KILLED ME rihanna CAN'T dance … + can't sing

Phoenix 17,395
Why is she famous then? Generic pop hit songs which own the radio once they're released tbh. 💎

Gagz 2,572
I get what the OP means. Rihanna has hit after hit, but nothing career-defining. She doesn't have a Bad Romance or a Firework.
