I  think that the far right conservative segments are the problem. Moderates in both parties seem willing to work together.    8-(

I mean, of course. For eight years all they said was no to a functioning federal government. Now they don't know what to do; stuck on stupid like a deer in the headlights.

I have no issue with moderate Republicans, but those far rights are just...:awkney:

I think we're definitely in a time now where extremes on both sides of the spectrum are gaining power.

The younger generation is full of socialist minded people and have a very liberal outlook on everything (myself included).

And then we've got the the older generation and bible belt people extremely afraid of all the liberalization under Obama and now they've developed far right views because trump has made it "acceptable".

The younger generation will prevail over the backward and paranoid Bible Belt

Yep

"There are some folks in the Republican House caucus who have yet to make the pivot from complaining to governing," said Republican pollster Whit Ayres. "And this is a White House controlled by a politician who is not really trying to lead a party."

I have Republican friends. They are sane, and I agree with them on many policies actually (I'm a Progressive). The fools in our government that call themselves 'far-right' want nothing but to strip away innocent peoples' rights and give tax cuts to their corporate buddies. It's disgusting tbh, they don't represent any of the citizens they're supposed to.

Whispering

Republicans are an opposition party. That's all they know. They don't govern, they obstruct.
