The biggest music market is by far the US. The music industry in the US has a retail value of 5 million which this is two times more than the second biggest - Japan.

Secondly the "few smaller ones" are the ones that are included in the top 10. I don't know why so many are pretty much against this era. :grr:

Accept the success it's having and stop pointing all the time on the negativities. There's always a time when an albums starts falling on the charts..and that's why the labels put out singles and tour dates to promote them.

Nobody said the US is not the biggest market. But this discussion is about global impact and Joanne is clearly lacking there. In every other era she had hits in ALL of the ten biggest markets. This time she has only a hit in three of them

I totally agree with this

Hits are just an indicator between many of the impact of an era.

While y'all complain about the lack of high peaks WW, Gaga is on the top of her career since 2011, with a sold out arena (with some stadiums) tour and a movie coming in the next few months

Most streamed Joanne album tracks on YouTube (did not consider videos under 6k views):

• John Wayne (40,5M) (music video + performance)
• A-YO (35M) (performance + official audio video)
Joanne (913k)
• Angel Down (674k)
• Diamond Heart (581k)
• Hey Girl (551k)
• Sinner's Prayer (456k)
• Come To Mama (447k)
• Grigio Girls (436k)
• Just Another Day (256k)
Dancin' in Circles (213k)

DIC has so few views because it was never performed. All the other tracks have many videos such as the Dive Bar performances (all the tracks except DIC and Hey Girl were performed), SNL, VSF, etc.

Joanne (the song) has so many views becouse of the performance on Alan Carr, Japan's Zero and Dive Bar.

Hey Girl have an advantage, becouse it's a collaboration with Florence Welch.

It's normal that a track without any tipe of promotion has only a few views.

Hey Girl hasn't been performed and it more than doubles DiC's YouTube streams. Plus I can say that Joanne, John Wayne & Hey Girl have the biggest solitary audio videos among all tracks. The biggest from Dancin in Circles is around 120k, Hey Girl is at 500k alone.

Yeah but she teases HeyGirl on IG like every other day.

For some fans a sold out tour and an reinventing artist serving one great TV performance after another is not enough.

US, Brazil, Italy that's it. Cnada and Australia if we are generous. And even if it were five, that's still only 5/10, while she had 10/10 with every other album, including ARTPOP

Because charts were only for sales. Now its + streaming. Thats why she is low. If you look at her sales and itunes peaks you can see she was pretty high.

I don't understand why Ed only did 1 date in France with his incredible first week there. Now 100k copies sold.

He did a lot of promo in our country too.

Freddy

so 9 songs are already certified from 'Divide' in the UK , 6 of them being album tracks.

They need to rework their certifications process
