Link to WA's vid? :)

her videos seem to do wonders for her singles chartwise. At least, it did for the first 5 singles from TD. TOTGA and PoM didn't really help I think and those were her previous two singles so I'm not sure what WA's will do for it.

If Katy gets #1, I'll actually be happy for her. A perfect era with 7 top 5 singles, and 6 of those being #1. The album sold about 5.5 million WW (right around the same as BTW) and her tour mostly sold out. Why bother to be sad/pressed over someone else's success?

:tea:

Hopefully she will get the number one spot. :flutter: Give the girl a break, she makes pop songs that you all know the lyrics to but deny it in this forum. I have to admit though the video was just Illuminati **** thrown here and there. But at least she is making a transition into her new album cycle. It might help her get that number one spot.

Teenage Dream sales:

US: 2.2 million. (Double Platinum)

UK: 1 million. (Triple Platinum)

Australia: 210,000 (Triple Platinum)

NZ: 45,000 (Triple Platinum)

Canada: 320,000 (Quadruple Platinum)

Europe: 1,000,000 (Platinum).

Total: 4,775,000 copies WW based on these certifications. To say that it sold 5.5 million WW is accurate since certifications are always a little off. If you add off the certifications of BTW they don't even reach near 6 million so...

Not everything is certified... I don't get your point.

You're wrong. TD is not at the same level as BTW with WW album sales.

La Rosalia

hmmm I think Katy was "inspired" by Shakira

Both empowerment songs/videos, both singers manage to cross the labyrinth and everything turns colorful once they have made to the other side

Katy is slaying with this video so no one cares who she's inspired by. :lala:

Well, of course I know that.

I said that they were close in sales because I don't consider a margin of 500,000 a considerable gap. But I see how you disagree with me. They are not the same thing.

Yes I have. That wasn't Illuminati.

That was loathing reality :derpga:

Exactly. And some certifications are outdated.

BTW is not Platinum in the UK. It's 3x Platinum now
