For one, The Fame didn't actually explore the sound of disco as much as fans on here like to say. Some of the instrumentals, yes, but not the actual disco genre. Secondly, Disco was popular in the 70's and ushered in the era of 80's pop and electronic music, it should not be confused or noted that Disco isn't 80's. Thirdly, I don't want to cause controversy by implying this, but the sound of Joanne isn't exactly experimental or uncharted; folk Americana pop music has been done for decades; the only difference is that it's not popular right now. Who knows what the sound of pop music will be in a few years? Perhaps Gaga ushering in a new wave of disco and electronic pop music could be beneficial to the state of the music industry. That's all. Hahaha, you've schooled me. Yes, she didn't go full disco, you are right. I meant she explored that genre mixed with others in The Fame. You are probably right she didn't go FULL disco. Your comments on 80s disco are accurate. Thanks for clarifying However, I do not agree that Joanne is not experimental. I think it is given Gaga standards, going full stripped and more raw sounds. You are right that Americana genre hasn't been done in a while and it's been done before. But I do believe she brought in Joanne it back and tried to renew it in this record mixing it with synths and electronic percussion. That's just my opinion. i think u freaky but you don't have a hit

ARTGOD 3,266
Everytime she has experimented with Disco in her career it's been a slay (Disco Heaven, Sexxx Dreams' bridge, Fashion!, I Want Your Love). So if she did a full album of Disco it would be amazing .

I must've explained something poorly, so I apologize. Joanne is experimental, I do agree with you, since it does flirt with a variety of sounds and mixes along with staying with the central sound. I was just saying that it wasn't the first innovative sound of that genre or whatever. I apologize for the confusion
