JohnWayne23 5,227
This is kinda cool. Billboard totaled the total number of #1's by solo females, all female groups, and all female collabs each decade to find the percentage of #1's women had each decade. The photo shows the female with the most #1's that decade. The percentage isn't their personal share of #1's. 1960s Leaderboard: The Supremes (12 No. 1s during the decade), Connie Francis (3) 1970s Leaderboard: Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Donna Summer (4 No. 1s each during the decade) 1980s Leaderboard: Whitney Houston, Madonna (7 No. 1s each during the decade), Paula Abdul, Blondie (3 each) 1990s Leaderboard: Mariah Carey (14 No. 1s during the decade), Janet Jackson (6) 2000s Leaderboard: Beyonce, Rihanna (5 No. 1s each during the decade), Mariah Carey (4) 2010s Leaderboard: Rihanna (9 No. 1s during the decade), Katy Perry (8), Adele, Taylor Swift (4 each) Source: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7616906/leading-ladies-women-success-hot-100-chart?utm_source=twitter

Squeeshy Keety 9,908
I guess what Gaga said for her BB Woman of the Year award about the music business being a "man's industry" was right. I assumed she mostly meant corporate stuff and producers, but no decade has women charting over 50% They / Them 🏳️🌈
