JohnWayne23 5,227
Yea, i don't think i agree with this, but we all got opinions Billboard says: Maybe it was exhaustion from the two awards shows (on two continents) at which she's already performed her new single in the past month, but for her third go with "Chained to the Rhythm," Katy Perry didn't quite seem to have it, bringing a slightly lower intensity and sounding pitchy in spots. Still, the set design had its moments -- the giant hamster and accompanying wheel being an obvious highlight -- and the high-five with Halsey in the crowd was nice. As for the best performance? Bruno Mars Innovator may be something of a stretch for 2010s pop's finest retro-fitter, but no doubt that whatever the ensemble, Bruno wears it well -- including at these awards, where he made his medley of "Treasure" (a throwback at four years old) and new smash "That's What I Like" work as seamlessly as his jacket-and-track-pants combo. Even if he's not exactly radio's first name in pushing things forward, he always makes the present a pretty OK place to be. OMFG THIS SHADE THOUGH: "Innovator may be something of a stretch for 2010s pop's finest retro-fitter" Source: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/awards/7710219/2017-iheartradio-music-awards-performances-ranked
Princess Stache 2,066
I wanted to like Katy in this new era but sorry she's just someone who copies other artists constantly and only cares about making hits, not music.

Jed 7,716
well Bruno isn't exactly revolutionary but his popularity/capabilities are undeniable. In terms of Katy's performance I've really been trying to watch without letting my bias come through... but jesus this was bad SO bad. Those kid's probably don't even wanna be there lmao
Alien Tulip 12,428
Katy is 32 and never grows up artistically. She's always so silly and childish lol.

KevinLeto 325
See, Billboard shades other artists other than GaGa too I'm the spirit of my hair, it's all the glory that I bare
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
But this is not shade, it's just true. Her performances on the Grammy's and the Brits weren't amazing either, but they were okay. This one was just very bad, her voice cracked so many times and she couldn't even hit some of the notes. She literally went out of breath after the first 20 seconds into the song, which is very weird. Maybe she was really tired or something, idk.. PassTheTime 1,448
https://atrl.net/forums/topic/16712-katy-perry-chained-to-the-rhythm-iheartradio-awards/?page=8 "Is there something mentally wrong with Katy Perry? No offence, but I'm starting to get "r*****ed vibes" from her. I couldn't care less about the vocals. It's the very weird, very childish, very immature, very juvenile productions of her performances. She's in her '30s and she's still doing these type of performances? She's trying to sell her "serious" political song with these juvenile performances? It makes zero sense. It's very strange. Does she want to appeal to kids that badly? Move ON with the childish antics. It's embarrassing at this point. Even Gaga has dropped the costumes and sillyness and Katy Perry is still doing it? Just proves that everything No$tradamus said in the "CTTR is cowardly" thread is true. Katy Perry is mentally stuck in 2010." Can we agree to disagree They are really coming for Katy
Wolf Boy 3,260
Katy has always been awful as a live act.
Levine 23,678
She sounded really bad, it's the truth not "shade" or "drag". The song is so easy to sing tho, she needs to take singing lessons IF she cares about being a good artist, while if she only cares about hits then she can keep on this way. djBuffoon 12,123
For years now, Katy has been content letting the scenery and lights do most of the work for her.
