She kinda tried with ARTPOP, but every era is such a mess since BTW. ARTPOP is a great album but i feel like she tried way too hard, some songs sounded overproduced and like demos at the same time. I think she did dance tracks with RedOne for LG5 but i believe she doesn't want stick to one specific sound and that's why she worked with Mark, Beck and others. it's because she doesn't want to be in a bubble. The GP is waiting for her to comeback with a pure pop track, and she wants to keep pushing music boundaries without having to do something she's not fully into. Let's face it, most dance tracks aren't really organic and Joanne is the opposite of that. It's like CTTR (not music or qualitywise) for Katy. The GP was waiting for a happy energetic pop song but she gave them a song that's politically charged that doesn't really have a "happy" vibe to it. it's doing decent but it's the lead of one of the digital queens Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
