djBuffoon 12,104
Oh. My. God. That was the most iconic and unprecedented mess EVER. And I think Moonlight was extremely deserving, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

It's not a compilation of ideas meant to garner an award it's the reality of many of us that have gone through that. BLACKOUTbritney 22,352
Faye literally running off stage because she was the one that said la la land without listening to what the guy was trying to tell her HAHAHAHHA she is an icon SLAY!! thatfoxyfeeling 12,995
I fee like this is a good thing for Gaga next year, if ASIB gets recognition it has a better chance to win Best Picture now that a musical didn't win this year.
AlphaMonster 1,806
I mean Moonlight did not deserve to win at all but you cannot NOT give the oscar to a movie that is gay and black at the same time because of what this once great country has become. That's what liberal agenda does, it gives free healthcare, free this, free that, free edge to those who do not deserve just because they are not white jesus loving normal americans. SHAME. I hope Trump expands his Religious Freedom order so that americans can have the freedom they deserve, not the anti american, anti christian, anti white liberal agenda that has still been forced upon them. God bless America as Lady Gaga once said. Lmao at white guilt striking that half bald La La Land guy Jokes, I did not watch neither La La Land nor Moonlight. Yes, because sooo many Independent films with an all black cast have won in the past. Oh, wait...

Announcers had the envelope for Best Actress in a Leading Role instead of Best Picture which they were announcing. Even male announcer realized that there should be a mistake because only name of actress was written with the name of the movie, female announcer jumped in and announced La La Land when male announcer was seemingly in doubt about the inevitable mistake (like why only actress' name is there if it is a best picture award). For like a good 3 minutes, La La Land was on stage giving acceptance speeches (which made everything much more awkward), then they found the correct envelope, and announced that Moonlight was the actual winner
ryhanna 3,507
I'm sad that there's so much arguing about a silly award. I love movies. **** it, I live for films and characters and stories. La La Land was overrated for sure, and I haven't seen Moonlight yet, but honestly, they're both made to be enjoyable films. Who wins doesn't matter, just enjoy them for what they are. Moonlight was just so blatantly Oscar-baity in its approach. The two writers wrote the screenplay about their lives, growing up in the projects in Miami. Their combined childhoods/teen years were used to make a small, independent film. You need to read some history on this screenplay and it's decade long journey it took to even become an independent movie before you make these wild accusations because you are upset that your fave film didn't win. Read my other posts. I'm not upset because the best film didn't win, I just think it's lame that Moonlight won because of its subject matter, and not because of its quality. The category is called "best picture" for a reason.
