Björk songs/albums??? I grew up listening to Bjork with my dad all the time especially when I was really little and I know there are a good amount of Björk stans on this website and was wondering what your favorite songs, albums, and/or eras are. And this may be unnecessary to say but, this is my first thread on this site, so yeah! :D

I'll get it started.

Fave album: Definitely depends on what mood I'm in but I always come back to Vespertine, the masterful, domestic, dark production, the primal, haunting vocals, and the lyrical material of this album truly make it magical. It really sounds like she's singing it to you and the intimacy level of this album is just unreal. :flutter: (Highlights: Hidden Place, Cocoon, Pagan Poetry, Aurora, An Echo A Stain, Harm Of Will)

Fave song(s): Hidden Place, Army of Me, Possibly Maybe, It's Oh So Quiet, Venus As a Boy, Scatterheart, and Crystalline. I know i picked way more than a couple but it's seriously hard to pick. :duck:

Sorry if this is off-topic but I'd like to ask this since you are a Björk stan: which albums should I give a listen first if I want to get into her? I've seen some of her photoshoots and her visuals are stunning, but I never listened to her music :gaycat: The album cover that intrigues me the most is Vulnicura's :hor:

Learning about Björk means self-discovery. She tackles everything in her work. It's impossible to tell you what you will like.

A lot of her earlier stuff from Debut, Post, and Homogenic seem to be the albums that the GP seem to like the most. I would say Army of Me, Hyperballad, It's Oh So Quiet, Isobel, Possibly Maybe, I Miss You, Hunter, Alarm Call, All Is Full Of Love (specifically the Greatest Hits mix), It's In Our Hands (also from the Greatest Hits), Innocence, and Declare Independence are good starters. Again, Vespertine is an amazing moody, intimate, dark album, I would recommend if that's what you're looking for. It's important to keep an open mind with Björk's music, most people either love her or hate her. Happy listening! :music::hug:

Very true, she's definitely a chameleon when it comes to the variety in her work.

None.

I hate her associatively since my crazy academically failing but uselessly intellectual Zizek loving crazy commie ex listened her all the time. :air:

Hey yall :gaycat: I can't talk about favourite songs right now because I've been listening to her albums without paying attention to song titles, but I have to say that I'm falling in love with her  I listened to Debut, Post, Vulnicura and Homogenic right now (I listened to Vulnicura first because I love its cover) and honestly I'm snatched, I really love the instrumentals of her songs that sort of transmit a "mystic feeling" to her art :D I don't know if what I just said made sense, but TL:DR I'm a new stan
