I'm socialist at heart but let's get real, this man is a joke as à candidate. If Les Republicains didn't chose such a conservative candidate I would have voted for Sarkozy or Juppé. Now I'm stuck with Macron who hasn't even unveiled his programme...

The thing is I hate Sarkozy, I hate Lepen, I hate François Fillon. So I don't know who to vote for :neyde:

I'd rather have an utopic candidate like Hamon than Lepen anyway.

Just because I would like to know if this is a "one way-problem" or if it just doens't work in both ways..

No I don't think something similar has ever happened but they really don't mind having rich veiled women in expensive stores in Paris. It seems they are only against it when it's "normal" people wearing it.

Hamon would be more disastrous than Hollande. I mean universal wage... Really? With the state of our country you propose a universal wage?

Thing is that the left is divided. There is the pure socialists that still think they can do wonders with the state of our country, Hollande/Valls type with more moderated socialism. Macron decided to show. And this division will only serve Fillon and Le Pen.

It's quiet simple: when entering a sacred space you can't just choose not to be respectful, whoever you are.

Like I rarely even see a woman wearing a headscarf here. She wasn'f forced to wear anything. But if she wants to enter a sacred place she should be respectful of the people in it no matter how stupid she may think it is. It's a headscarf not a burqa get over yourself.

From what I gather, she was not entering a "sacred space" but rather the private offices of a Sunni Muslim cleric. 

If Le Pen were a man and not a woman would she be required to cover her head?

If they answer to that question is yes, than it is reasonable for her to cover her head. If the answer is no, than she was justified in rejecting a culture's gender double standard.
