Born To Slay 10,996
Gaga's on her fifth solo album and is almost 9 years into her career. She's starting to become an industry veteran. A decade into their careers, artists tend to start to do less promotion. For example, in Britney's 9th/10th year in the industry, Britney released her Circus album and since then, each era only gets a few televisized promo performances. Her most recent era had 3 televised promo performances (VMAs, Today Show and Johnathon Ross). Beyoncé's self titled album dropped about 10 years into her career and that album, as well as her follow up Lemonade, only had a handful or promo performances. Rihanna is another example. Her career turned 10 in 2015 and her most recent album, Anti, only had a couple promo performances. I don't mean to shade these artists but so far, we've been lucky as a fan base that Gaga didn't follow their lead. Gaga's promo campaign for Joanne was pretty good. We got VSFS, SNL, AMAs, X Factor, SMAPxSMAP, Sukkiri, Alan Carr, Grammys, the super bowl, the royal variety show and others. And the Joanne era isn't over yet. Would u be sad or disappointed if Gaga began doing promo similar to other industry veterans?

Mister Gaga 22,913
I don't know if disappointed is the world...sad maybe? I'd try to understand her. But i doubt she'll take the same route. Gaga loves to perform, and her way of doing it is completely different from britney or bey's ways. For britney is a martyr to perform, because she obviously can't, so she has to entertain with something else (dancing, nice visuals, a feature), and almost always she fails. On the other hand, bey is an amazing performer, but sometimes i get the impression that the objective is elevating her 'goddess' status even more, or doing a performance of 30 minutes just to 'convince' you to buy the album. Gaga loves to perform, and that's it. She has it in her blood, in her soul. In her nature, i don't know how to say it. She can put on an impromptu show with crappy clothes, no back up dancers or singers, in a mediocre stage, and she'd still nailed it, because she loves to do it, and she has no objective besides showing her talent. It's just her passion.
iAdrian97 869
Yea but the reason Beyoncé and Britney have no promo is different. Beyoncé likes to make huge releases and her occasional performances are always very well executed and great. Britney's releases always seem lazy and so do her performances. I mean we all know she really is just a music industry money maker.
He8MyHeart 9,765
I look forward to her promo performances so yeah I'd be pretty upset. An era wouldn't be the same without them.

Ricardo 7,865
I like to see her perform on TV but if I understand this isn't 2009 anymore, there's no need for her to perform on every award show every year, as long the music is good it's ok
River 116,744
Britney is not a good example because her management and promotion are totally different than the big stars and it depends on her mental health and her kids.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
