I think that Lana's songwriting lacks more musical skills than Gaga, like metrics. However, Lana's song lyrics are deeper and more poetic imo.

No, i really love Gaga, but Lana's songs and albums have some special magic, her poetry, the way she sings, on the other side Gaga has more dance and pop songs, which I also really love. But I really wish that Gaga had songs like Sad Girl/Pretty When You Cry on Joanne.

It's hard to say Lana is more introspective and poetic, while Gaga is more satirical and theatrical. Love them both.

Florence is better than both of them.

Spoiler

But on the topic of Lana vs Gaga... they're different. I think Lana tends to be deeper but some of her lyrics are just as cringe-worthy as Gaga's worst in my opinion

I don't disagree w you at all. But I just mean there is no way in hell that you really think one song by Lana is better than every Gaga song combined :rip:

Lana couldn't do what Gaga does and from some things she tried with Joanne i think GAga wouldnt be able to do what Lana does.

Overall Lana has better lyrics and i'd say is better lyricist

Though Gaga is very inconsistent when she nails it, she is absolutely brilliant

sorry but i think Gaga wins

In terms of production and lyrics, yeah? Maybe not her whole discography, but Joanne for sure.

Lana hasmore extended lyrics, but again Gaga had to pack it up and fit it into a pop/dance songs. So I don't truly know. Probably.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Even tho they're both great writers, Gaga has much more versatility when it comes to writing songs.

Lana has some really great storytelling skills so i'll give her that. But her music has the minimum amount of versatility compared to Gaga who changes directions with every single one of her albums.

Overall i think Gaga is better in a broader sense.
