Billboard: "Does POP radio have a problem with Beyonce?"

She doesn't really promote her ""singles"", they are obviously not going to have good airplay

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Wait

Did ARTPOP actually outsell Lemonade?! And yet it's called a flop?!

(Absolutely NO shade to Lemonade and bey; I love them, just made a comparison)

These are US sales. ARTPOP sold around 760k in the US pure sales.

WW tho they are pretty close

Gaga Monster

None of her singles are POP radio friendly. Her last radio hit was Drunk In Love. Lemonade had no POP radio hits because Lemonade isnt a radio Pop album

Album sales are significantly worse than they were even a few years ago.

OT: Her songs, even the dance bops are specifically made to be unpopular with radio. It's a part of her strategy to make the public view her as an artist and not a singer. Nothing Beyonce does is on accident, she has enough money and power backing her that she could have the #1 spot on lock for the next 3 years if she wanted.

Except Hold Up was a 5 year old Diplo song and Sorry has a dance pop instrumental :chica: The album is very pop, just not very radio friendly

lol I'm tired of the excuses, the music is bad.. what made this album good is the visual..

Most of the songs on the radio are not radio friendly..

I think the real question is does pop radio have a problem with Gaga? But of course Billboard won't be asking that question :neyde:

This so much.

I live outside the space time continuum.

ShockPop

Her music is tripe and she sells her products based on posturing, marketing and the perception that she is an untouchable goddess, perpetuated by those on the payroll of B&J.

More like Tidal has a problem with radio and want people to subscribe to it so they can listen to / watch Lemonade. I don't know how many weeks or months it stayed there before they released it in physical.

I think the way Lemonade was released and consumed didn't really fit the idea of singles, and is probably why they didn't get airplay as much. There wasn't really any need for them, Lemonade was more of a complete package.

Everyone loves Beyonce, we all know if she wanted to make them spin her songs they would.
