Gagafy 296
Swift. She doesn't have musics on Spotify, yet, she is one of the biggest selling artist of 2010s. Seeing the #SpotifyStopBoycottingGaga trend, I guess monsters could start leaving that platform. I for one, would need to find a way to migrate my playlists to Apple music, if it's possible. kvnrp 48,353
I don't want to remember her for at least another year The overexposure was real. And I think it would be really, really useful to actually buy music again. Either on things like iTunes, Google Play or on CD/Vinyl. Streaming taking over the biz is not a good thing in the long run, as long as streaming services pay so little to labels and artists.

The difference is Taylor is big enough not to need Spotify. Gaga is big, but needs the streams from Spotify. 15 minutes ago, kvnrp said: I don't want to remember her for at least another year The overexposure was real. Taylor can stay gone for a while and physical and digital sales are more respectable. But with the commercial revenue of the music industry weakening every year, streaming is really helping it. What should happen is sales should have more weight than streams and stream services should pay more per stream, since streaming is utilized more and they can afford higher pay rates.
