Monster Pit + Key Camping Preparation

Hi guys :)

just for anyone wondering about getting into the pit - I was in the pit at Manchester last night   and started queuing at 6.20am. At that point I was number 277! It might depend on the size of the pit (Manchester was I think 400 people) but pretty much everyone that arrived later than 7.30 / 8am didn't get in. Maybe even earlier..

But the pit is SO worth the waiting :excited:

Also, I had no problems using my Government Hooker ticket for the pit and didn't have to forfeit my merch :)

thats so crazy! i know the arena pits are smaller than the stadiums but thats still alot of fans to be there that early! At my shows i got there at 7am both days and was only like 70th on the first and 20th on the second (good thing i live in a small city :hehe: )

Yes, Manchester had a lot of people from Scotland (like me) and other parts of England there too - it might be different in areas that have less people travelling to it :)

I got to Manchester at 6pm the Night before the show (Monday) and I was number 100. There were about 40/60 people who came later that night and then no one really came after about 9pm until about 5 the next morning... By about 6/7am on the day, there was about 380 people.

The queuing was really great actually and not stressful at all like I heard twikenham was.. Everyone kept to their numbers and we all could leave whenever we wanted during both days for hours.. I know some even went back to their hotels for a few hours and everyone still let them back in line.. :)

Remember everyone, when she brings the show to North America it's going to be COLD! I doubt many people will camp out days ahead of time. Chicago is way too windy to stand in line for. I've gone to many concerts there during the winter and it becomes unbearable if you don't prepare and layer up.

The most I'll camp out is 2 days, I have a feeling it's going to be brick ass cold here in nyc this winter. It doesn't feel like summer here anymore. So the seasonal changes are at a normal pace.

You must have been just infront of me, I was 296 :)

My advice is be prepared for terrible weather; the weather was shocking in Manchester! thank god there was a shop close by selling rain ponchos :D

In Belgium, Gaga will do the BTW-Ball twice.. September 29th and 30th.. I'm going the 30th and I wanna have the Monster Pit key.. Now I'm wondering at what time I should wait there? Because I'm scared that people who will go the 29th will be waiting for the 30th too..

my shows were saturday 7th and sunday 8th of july. The pit key holder for the saturday was there 8am monday morning (2nd July) and the sunday keyholder was there Monday afternoon (2nd July) and didnt go to the first show, so unless you are really keen, you might want to lower your expectations

Ok the concert I'll be attending is in San Jose, California. Can someone tell me what time I should arrive to get into the monster pit? And is it true that you get bracelets that tell you your number and then you can leave?

Really is hard to say. In London the pit queue for the first night was full by around 8.30am. The second night it was around 11am. In Manchester we arrived at 7.45am and were number 369/370 in the queue. Only about 40-50 were in the pit queue behind us so that must have shut off around 8am. Basically, just go along as early as you can, 7.30am or thereabouts will probably be ample (with a possible exception of NY which I reckon will need an earlier arrival to get in the pit). You are free to leave the line but always leave someone there and do limit your time out of the queue, leaving the line is basically for stuff like food, drink, toilet etc (ie don't show up at 8am, then disappear for the day expecting to reclaim a spot at 5pm). The Monster Pit bracelets in the UK were handed out as we went into the venue when the doors opened.
