Modern Ecstacy 3,872 Posted February 13, 2017 Share Posted February 13, 2017 So I didn't watch this year's Grammy's live but I did go to Twitter and got all the scoop..and honestly the Grammys were a MESS! I don't even know where to start. First of all, let's talk about the Gaga and Metallica performance since that's what most of us really cared about. Like Laverne, girl, I love you but you didn't announce Metallica's name before they went on to perform so you already got Metal Fans (Who are large in numbers) pissed. But you know what, that's fine. Everybody makes mistakes. But when things couldn't get worse, the mic for Metallica's lead singer wasn't working . I mean the Grammys are the world's most prestigious accolades for artistic excellence, how could they not get a mic to work??? And then Laverne Cox tweeted an apology to "Metalica". Mess on mess on mess. Hey atleast Gaga looked bomb AF and honestly, overall the performance wasn't that bad but a lot of Metal fans are NOT happy. Let's talk about the Chainsmokers. It boggles my mind that those two egoistic F U C K boys won a Grammy, Like are you literally serious.....? I mean I have just have nothing more to say because I'm disappointed. Now onto Katy Perry's performance, she looked amazing and those visuals were amazing too but those vocals were tragic and why was she jumping around on the stage like a Kangaroo? And then Adele messed up during her tribute to George Michael and then F-bombed the show which is honestly not that big of a deal but why does something almost always go wrong during her Grammy performances? Again, not really a big deal but it just seemed like nothing was going right in this award show. I'm not an Adele hater but I'm sick of the GP fangirling over her like she's the most amazing thing in the music industry. Am I the only one who thinks "Hello" is just a normal song? It's not a bad song, I like it but it's just...so overhyped. Of course she's going to win a Grammy for that song..she's Adele. I still think Beyonce deserved AOTY but hey, at least Adele was amazing about it and shared a piece of the Grammy with Beyonce. Just remember, Adele took AOTY back in 2012 too and robbed Born This Way. Imagine the meltdowns if Beiber or Sturgill Simpson won the Grammy though. All those meltdowns And last but not least, these outfits were tragic! Some people wanna be Gaga so bad.... And this was just plain cringey: Am I the only one who thinks this? From what I've read on twitter and what I saw myself, they did not air Metal category, and when Megadeth won their first long overdue grammy, they were apparantly playing Metallica's Master of Puppets cover version over them... It's extremely shady since there has been a feud between them, not anymore so much, but it shows disrespect. Then not introducing Metallica and the Mic not working...
