Chart Discussion: Joanne / Million Reasons

A-Yo would never be a hit and you can catch me ousside with your false opinions and dreams of A-Yo ever making a dent on the charts. It would ruin all the hard work Gaga has done to slowly fix her issue with radio. A-Yo is too screechy (she literally squeals at some parts). Not to mention we already got many performances of the track (SNL, dive bars, Victoria Secret). It has burned out. Anyone who "wants" A-Yo to be released as a single is holding onto false hope and odd comparisons to it being "similar to Shake It Off" by Snake.

NO it is NOT similar. SIO is a polished bubble gum pop track with the most generic lyrics on earth. A-Yo is a screech fest which is a great album track but no way in hell will it be played on radio.

OT: MR is doing amazing in sales, radio and helping the album out! love this song so much. will be her signature ballad!

The GP probably never had a chance to hear it to decide whether or not they cared for it. I don't remember any promotion for the song whatsoever.

I did think it was a weird choice as a single when there were quite a few better choices, although I do love G. U. Y.

It made it up to enough AI on pop radio to make a difference on iTunes...and it stayed in the high one hundreds. People who heard it didn't respond to buying it, which is a bad sign.

I agree. They should start pushing DIC as the third single asap. As soon as mr starts faltering, they should get on it with DIC

Lady Gaga is a legend and you will deal with it

It's getting big adds. That's why I'm not so afraid of DIC on radio. It's like the fourth most added song on radio for yesterday.

I'm not afraid then. Everyday is super explicit. Bring it, Gaga.

Honestly I think they should keep Million Reasons a single for as long as possible. DIC should come next but maybe in a month or so since MR is still sort of just now taking off on radio.

You and I is a great power ballad for sure but MR is a "pure" straight forward ballad and honestly I think artists will cover MR a lot more and it will be mentioned way more in the future.

How well a song is remembered is what makes a ballad a signature song.

No adds from KIIS, AMP LA, or B96 Chicago.. again. Basically the last major holdouts though.

Isn't there one more day though - isn't Tuesday the cut off for the pop adds?

With the right MV, Angel Down should be the next and last Joane's single. Would it flop? YES, like all the other songs except MR, but at least we'd have a MV for the song with the most powerful lyric on the album.

stir the pot

Y'all worrying about A-YO being the next single, when the real third single is Hey Girl :gaycat:

re di tutto

Ugh, remember when 5 years ago a Top 5 on digital songs could secure you a Top 10 on BB Hot 100. And now look what. Mess.
