So because you prefer Beyoncé over Adele, when millions of people prefer Adele over Beyoncé, your goig to call out racism? REALLY? The Grammys are nominated by hundreds of people in the industry from different countries, age groups and races. Just face it. You're mad she didn't get album of the year. But don't just cry racism. Beyoncé is certainly not hurting in the Grammy department.

I like both artists, actually. I'm just calling out the GRAMMYs supposedly being a prestigious award that awards white artists for major categories for work that has no impact, whereas when a black artist demonstrates historic monumental work (To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar is being archived in Harvard, when will Taylor's 1989?) they are always snubbed or get tossed to Urban categories against other black artists. If you don't recognize this, it's not my problem.

Ummm... Most of those wins are R&B and Urban categories, never the big awards like SOTY, ROTY, or AOTY that white artist very easily receive for mediocrity. I just cannot fathom how an empowering album about black culture that actually made people THINK lost to an album about the cliché subject of heartbreak. This is the same thing as Kendrick Lamar losing to Taylor Swift last year when he arguably had the better album, but because his album was also about the struggles of black individuals, it lost to an album full of Max Martin overproduced bubblegum pop. If you didn't notice, Adele won all the major categories and Beyoncé only won the Urban category, AS USUAL.

She won a song of the year.....So to you R&b and Urban categories aren't legitimate categories to win?  I just gave you an example of Madonna only winning 7 Grammy's and she is the highest selling female artist of all time.  Several of her Grammy's were only for technical awards as well.  Not everything is about racism.  Blame the voters on the Grammy Panel if Beyonce's album didn't resonate as much as Adele's did.  You are allowed to not agree.

I'm overwhelmed by the kindness shown in Metallica fans forum for Gaga. Most of them said nice things about her and they actually want her to join Metallica in a different venue tonight as well at the Palladium. Hoping that they would do it right at Metallica's own show. They were more angry at the Grammys coz apparently the Grammys screwed up with Metallica before in the past. There was definitely more kindness shown to Gaga than what I see on Twitter...and sometimes GGD. :excuseu:

Loved gagas performance. I wasn't excited about it but was better than I thought. I loved her dancing, her look, her voice sounded great, and loved he crowd surfing. This wasn't an avant garde or choreography performance. It was metal. She gave us metal. The gays don't typically like metal lol. But it was great for what what it was, and what it was supposed to be.

I really loved the kind of out-of-control sloppiness about the whole thing. It didn't seem out of place at all for that type of song!

That being said, I do usually prefer her more clean and polished performances. But with this particular song and performance, the frenzy was appropriate, and she killed it!

I mean, I had every confidence Gaga would thrash it out with Metallica and hold her own. But metalheads are a much more angry people. I mean we already had rock fans (Bowie fans) trash Gaga for her tribute. Who knows what would happen with this performance with one of metal's biggest icon. So I'm truly appreciative for all the good things they said.

Gaga was amazing, as I knew she would be...Loved the look and the attitude!

It sucks that the lead singer's mic was messed up, but Gaga carried on. It all sounds like one giant wall of sound to me (no offense to metal fans) so I was impressed with the fact that she knew where to come in without the other parts! Good for Gaga!

A few friends said this to me (none are Gaga fans): So, she does pop, Sound of Music, jazz, country, and now metal? Is there anything she can't sing?

Yeah, but he had recently died...and maybe they are a picky little bunch. As long as Gaga seems appreciative and respects Metallica, I could see metal fans giving the love back. At least they are pissed at the right thing...the ****ing mic problem! JFC, how hard is it to do your damn job?

This was what the Metallica fans were impressed. That she still knew when is her line and that how she sounded like she really know the song inside out. They were impressed.
