It was barely 2 months before she publicly came out The show took place at Madison Square Garden Celine Dion won Album of the Year for Falling Into You (it also won Best Pop Album) "Change the World" by Eric Clapton won both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. He beat out songs like "Because You Loved Me" by Celine, Ironic by Alanis Morissette and Exhale (Shoop Shoop) by Whitney Houston. LeAnn Rimes won for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "You're Making Me High" Best Rap Album went to the Fugees for The Score. They also won Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group for "Killing Me Softly" Sheryl Crow won Best Rock Album for Sheryl Crow. She also won Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for "If It Makes You Happy" Tony Bennet won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance for Here's to the Ladies And the best award of the night went to Hillary Clinton for Best Spoken Word or Non-Musical Album No Doubt performed "Spiderwebs" Celine Dion performed "All By Myself" There was a big performance by Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige, Brandy, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Cece Winans The Smashing Pumpkins performed "1979" Beck performed "Where It's At", which he won Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
