VIP-Backstage Package OR NOT?

Not The Real Gaga

I really can't decide wheter or not I should buy one of those expensive "VIP - Ultimate Backstage Package"-tickets.

Look, I've been saving for Meet&Greet tickets for over a year, so I can afford it, that's really not the problem. BUT, the circumstances of the "Ultimate Backstage Package" make me doubt. In my opinion, the things you get during this VIP-moment are absolutely NOT  worth the high price. I am socially awkward, hate (group) photos and am pretty basic in real life (clothes, look, etc.).

On the other hand, I really want to meet Gaga, like you all of course. I've dreamed and hoped about it for so long, I can't wait. I'm not sure wheter or not she will do other (kind of) Meet&Greets in the future, so do I need to play it safe? Is it smart to buy those expensive VIP-tickets?

Please help me!  I really need your advice, guys! Can't decids by myself! :/

Ive been thinking about it for amsterdam but I will not buy them, way too expensive to 'share' gaga with strangers.

And there will probably at least one of those guys like maikeeb who wants all the attention.

I mean, its the only way you are guaranteed to meet her and be in a photograph with her. If that's what you want and you can afford it, buy it.

No, its not as great as the artRave meet and greet. But who knows if she will ever do meet and greets again in the future? Who knows if she will even tour again, you never know what could happen.

Also, once you take away the cost of the ticket, meal, bar, merch, etc...its not that much money. Plus you get a backstage tour, which will be really cool I assume.

You could just wait at her hotel, but for a quick selfie? Maybe not even a hello, just a blurry selfie? And who says she will even stop, and if she does stop there could be dozens of fans.

You have a good shot of being close to her in the group photo, probably an opportunity to speak to her, and I'm sure there will be a table to leave presents!

Mmhm, you are right! But something in me says that this package isn't fair at all in comparison with the ArtRave-ones. I am feeling forced inside to buy something I really want to reach (meeting Gaga), but I am holded back by common sense; a lot of money for like 1 minute of Gaga.

Too expensive to share it with 6 other people.

You aren't being forced to buy anything. Its completely your decision. They are just offering this package, buy it if you'd like!

And yes, the artRave package was clearly better, however I wouldn't call this "unfair." They are telling you straight up what you are getting, if you want to buy it that's your choice.

Gaga is much more popular now than when tickets went onsale in 2013 for the artRave. A Britney meet and greet was originally $2,500. To meet One Direction (on their last tour) you needed to know somebody and buy 2 meet and greet tickets that cost between 8,000-15,000 dollars.

Who knows if Gaga will even stick to the "group photo" situation. She might take individual photos, spend lots of time chatting. Just depends.

Receipts? Only M&Gs I saw were for the Australian leg for charity. :flop:

And the top price was $8000, not even as high as $15k.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago, but then decided that it was better for me to buy a regular ticket. After seeing the amazing pictures of the artRave M&G and after hearing all the amazing stories about the experience, I wanted SO BAD to meet Gaga through a M&G. However, after seeing what the Ultimate Backstage pack offered, I changed my mind for several reasons:

I - it is before the show, so that implies that Gaga will have less time to dedicate to her little monsters + probably will be in a rush.

II - the "group photo" thing gives me the feeling that this meeting will be rushed and very "impersonal". This implies that there will be several groups of 4-6 people who will take a pic with her. So, in my opinion, it won't be a real M&G but just like a rushed backstage tour + a picture with Lady Gaga.

III - the money. The package is very expensive and to me, it is not worth it. The M&G package at the artRave offered more for less money.

This is just my opinion, what made me decide.

I don't have receipts, I just know a bunch of their production team. For their American tour it was 15k, you could do it through a lifestyle concierge or an AMEX Black Card.

Must not of been the case for the original OTRA, aka the Aussie leg. :flop::lolly:
