Redstreak 6,653
It's been an unspoken rule that the visuals of the last Gaga music video for an era hint at what the next album may be. Paparazzi took a darker tone and led to TFM, Alejandro was a video filled with gay love, political activism, and religion which became Born This Way, Marry the Night was heavy in a Gaga besting the odds of her downfall and rising from the ashes like a phoenix which with songs like Princess Die in the works gave hints that LG4 would center on the rise and fall of the blonde female icon until it was rumored the original plans for ARTPOP were scrapped and she started over, G.U.Y. was a giant love metaphor to the horrid ways of her higher ups treating her like a money making machine and not truly caring about her and her vision and that she was taking matters into her own hands thus giving us Joanne the album involving subjects and genres more centered on her own artistic exploration rather than being a commercial success, and now we have John Wayne and should it be the final video what do you all think we can glean from it? Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Rayze 277
G.U.Y. predicting Joanne and Alejandro predicting Born This Way are kind of reaches... Those themes are just things that she's hooked on exploring. She's been talking about being a money machine since The Fame, she was obsessed with the fact people wanted to see her fall (Paparazzi MV par example) and tbh, she's politically minded and literally like gay, like sooooo gay dude, Born This Way as an album was expected from her anyway. I think it'd just be a better idea to look at what she's talking about pre-album release, like her LGBT involvement riding before Born This Way and her return to her roots and simpler style right before Joanne
xoxo cupcakke 4,781
It could mean that Gaga is going to become bling not the music for LG6. She literally said she's going to be a popstar again in that one interview I hope that means that she'll still have fun. Like, as manufactured as Teenage Dream was, it was very Katy and you could very well tell Katy enjoyed the era. I'm just ready for an era where Gaga doesn't take herself so seriously. I would like LG6 to be very self referential and aware, but not to the point where it's kitsch On top of that, I hope she doesn't try to make LG6 like the disco sound everyone wants. Like, I don't get why you guys don't enjoy Gaga's natural aesthetic that I feel Joanne and songs like John Wayne and Heavy Metal Lover are great at expressing. But instead you want IWYL kind of songs that you'll enjoy for like a few months then get tired of, which, I feel, is one of the reasons ARTPOP ended up being abandoned by so much of the fanbase. It was an album of its time instead of an album that transcends time like TFM, BTW, and even Joanne, but it's whatever
