Can we just stop being so negative? Jesus. Let the woman do what she wants. I love the video so much and I think a lot of people agree with me!

I haven't seen the video yet and I agree. :classy:

It hasn't even been played on the radio tho, of course it's performing poorly. GP had one chance to hear it live, and not everyone who would gravitate to the song was tuning in. But that's no basis for saying it would flop. It's a ****ing BOP, with a sick video to boot. Atypical songs can easily go to #1. Hell, even Sorry was atypical when it was released, and people are still chasing that sound. Send that **** to radio, and get back to me once it catches fire. :classy:

Don't get me wrong, I love the song and the video is the best of the Joanne era so far but it's just not the best choice. The thing is that radio is not going to touch it if MR does not become a decent hit, so she can't count on radio to make her songs hits, that's why a song with a better reception should be the single, we'll still have this video and possible another one really soon, everyone wins.

Hit or not it's the best creative project she's made bar the Super Bowl in a long time. Absolutely came through and slayed me single or no single.

3. She made a video to shut up the fans who find the Joanne visuals underwhelming. And that's all.

thank God, she loves us again :diane:

I disagree that they won't touch it. MR was sent to radio before all of this promo and hype. Right now she's as big as she was years ago, and a unique, fun, slightly weird song could be exactly what she needs for success. People are basically foaming at the mouth for another SB51 situation, and some crazy ****ed up Gaga single and video is exactly what they want.

I'm not one to care about the charts tbh, but I think that risk pays off. Either way, I'm living for John Wayne and how this era is shaping up.

Spoiler

but like don't get me started on MR like let her die slowly tbh

Well, lets' agree to disagree. I don't care about the charts either and I love the Joanne era a lot, I'm just trying to stop this fanbase delusion and posterior disappointment. I hope it becomes successful if released tho, not one of those immature fans that want her to flop when things don't go their way.

Did you even watch the video? She's clearly doing this for all the little whiners and funnily enough, you're still whining :ladyhaha:

Thank you!

I never complain but now I've got a big one. Gaga just SLAYED the gp at super bowl she needs a new fun pop song like A-Yo or even diamond heart to keep everything going and keep none fans interested

JW is to experimental and will push everyone away. this will definitely be the G.U.Y. Of the era :(

and we all know what happened after that :rip:

what are they thinking :saladga:

Fun pop songs are so hard to chart though, everyone want to hear either Dance music or RnB. But John Wayne actually has a chance at doing well because the GP also love dark songs, A.k.a The Weekend's music style.

Meh. I don't really care about this era anymore. I used to have big hopes for songs I liked more (like DH) and I really wanted it to be a single. I don't really care for JW or the music video so I'm a lot less invested now so I won't be disappointed when she makes Grigio Girls and Angel Down (work tape) singles 4 and 5. I'm really excited about the Metallica duet and I'm praying she doesn't play any Joanne songs! But otherwise, it's easier to not care and be pleasantly surprised when something cool happens. Just take the back seat on the ride and check back in when something you like happens.

JW is one of the only other potential singles besides DH, (I doubt DIC would get radio play without changing the words too much)

why so negative?

She didn't call it her next single, she released it as a video and like I said in another thread I think she released it exclusively on Apple music to give Million Reasons the shine it needs for the moment. If this was the next single it would have been sent to radio, video on Vevo, we would have a single cover AND an announcement. Let's just appreciate all the love she's getting right now, and most importantly the Gaga we all love is back.

Many non Gaga fans ONLY like JW, I don't see the problem...

They can't scare me, if I scare them first.

Some "fans" literally only want to complain!

Lmao she's literally catering to everyone right now! She's showcasing her vocal talent for those of us who like that. She's doing a crazy video for those who missed that and complained about her recent ones.

If anyone is still compaining, they should honestly jump ship and go Stan for someone more Generic.

This isn't meant to be an insult, but she's given us both extremes now. If you're still not on board, I can't imagine anything else she does will make you happy! Why are you still even here?
