I don't even have half a speculation, I'm just enjoying the heel guns tbh. But these theories others are posting are interesting... :oprah:

it can be interpreted from a romantic perspective but also in terms of the trajectory of her career so far.

ARTPOPGa: slapped-in-the-face/bottle-thrown-at-her segments representing the critics bashing her left and right

BTWGa: motorcycle-freeway-vehicle segments representing her rock-and-roll/wild self

TF/MGa: dancing-and-partying-in-heels segments representing the choreographed glamour of fame

meanwhile, JOANNEGa is both the narrator and the spectator of her self-reflexive/meta story. :classy:

I know. I looked it up but the the latest one I found was from when the album was released. Is that the interview or did she do one today with the release of the video? I'm confused. People are making it sound like she did an interview about the video.

1. I think it has similar story to Yoü and I although this time it's her changing, not someone changing her.

2. It also has  a political message about women in general I guess?

3. All over the video there are signs of apocalypse, radiation signs, explosive signs, 7 headed beast...

OMG. There were EIGHT. EIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

These are my 1st impressions. I interpret on 3 levels.

1. As a messed up love story where she goes for a wild man and it get's her killed.

2. As representing certain elements of her career and how she has evolved to her current self. Killing off past incarnations along the way in order to keep evolving.

3. As a metaphor for how we feel as Americans today. There is a sense of spiraling down a dangerous chaotic path with this country's politics and cultural mood. These reckless times may lead to the demise (or at least violent transformation) of America.

That's what I've picked up so far anyway. I've only seen it twice.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with this GIF, but it made me laugh. Are you judging me? :gaycat:

I post my thoughtful interpretations and I get Judy-ed, seriously.

CHROMATICA 2020

I think the end where she kills herself is her saying, if I don't stop now, I'm going to end up dead (like she does in the car crash) so it's best if I stop it myself (hence killing that part of herself). and it's all done in a flashback sense I believe, tying with the whole Joanne series.

Can I just say I love reading everyone's interpretations? It's been a while since we've all done this with a Gaga video and I missed it.
