This video is a little clearer, it looks like lyrics to me starting at 0:05 but the angle makes it hard to tell, as it's probably meant to be viewed from above the stage. I can tell now that is indeed meant to be viewed from a larger angle, with the optimum being a clear 180 degrees. Both groups of people on either side of the stage are arranged such that when Gaga says "dance" near the end of the chorus, their hand-held lights spell out "dance".
