1 whole year is not the lame duck period. That'll be the moment we get a president-elect (after November). The radical Republican congress refused to do their jobs in the name of politics. Admit it and stop trying to pretend like what they did was normal.

There is no question about it, they robbed Obama of a Supreme Court appointment that was rightfully his. It was underrepresented. But now Trump is our President, it's his nomination to make.

When they go low, we go high.

I didn't think it was "Shocking", just well, people should at least try to resist because of his specific views and history :gum:

If you did your due diligence about his history you would know that both Hillary and Obama voted to approve his appointment to the Tenth Circuit Court.

Admittedly, I haven't had the time to give him a full vetting :gum: But I don't like what I see so far, and this doesn't change my mind.

Allow me to regurgitate some Republican talking points.

The Supreme Court has not always functioned with 9 Justices; it has had a lower cap.

So yeah, why not? Republicans were ABSOLUTELY ready to this if Hillary had won. Hence where I got the argument. :icega:

Sure, why not? That's what the Republicans were saying they were going to do, if Hillary had won.

Eighteen

well scalia was "conservative" so this doesn't do any damage. the real test will be when the liberal justices need replacing in the next four years, whether they will be replaced with likewise people (or if kennedy, the usual tie breaker moderate judge retires and is replaced by a conservative then that would be ****ed up)
