What persona honestly? Joanne is Gaga, Gaga is Joanne, it's just her second name, it's the same person. The only difference I see is that she seems more chill now and the visuals for this album are more simplistic than before. And it pisses me off so much cause just like Gaga my personality and the things I like and am inspired from change in different periods of my life and because of that I've often been called fake, it seems like people don't like change in general... There's none though She laughed a bit in an interview where Volantis was brought up, and that's it. Let's be honest, Volantis was a pretty random idea. I don't see how it represents her "previous work" as you said. And she never bashed ARTPOP. The only thing I can recall her say is that ARTPOP was made when she was in a lot of pain hence why the record has a lot of pain in it, while in Joanne she's in a much more clear mindset. ...sorry if I sounded rude anyway.
