Should JW be the base sound of the next album?

Diamond Heart, PI, and John Wayne basically point the way to the hard rock album that could have been.   What if she uses John Wayne as the starting point of the sound for LG6 and goes in that type of a rock direction?  Here for it, yay or nay?

hard rock?

some fans are really throwing genres around like they are not happy with who Gaga is and desperately want her to do a more "serious" genre

If you don't think Gaga is hard rock at her core than you have not been paying attention for basically her entire career.

she's a hard rock fan, and she has the sensibility of a hard rock fan, yes, I totally agree with this... She can imitate hard rock vocal style, but I don't believe she's genuinely a hard rock performer or writer.

Ok this is getting annoying :interestinga: but whatever us Joanne fans will have to see these LG6 posts every single day of the JOANNE ERA until LG6 comes out in 2019:bye:

What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?

Well Joanne already has some folk and americana influences. It has songs like Diamond Heart, John Wayne, Perfect Illusion and Hey Girl and it's something I wanted to hear from her for a long time. I wouldn't mind if she goes a little darker and uses more rock influences BUT I'm honestly dying to see her go back to Disco or Electronica. I just miss that Gaga.

But then again, fans are still calling Joanne a "country" album so I don't really think fans know about genres or influences that much.

Lol, John Wayne is honky tonk country, not really rock but do you :reductive:

If anything, John Wayne is a gateway drug to an album with even greater country influences. It will not lead to hard rock because it isn't hard rock at all. I'll give you Perfect Illusion and, maybe, Diamond Heart, but not John Wayne

Yes lol, I get very strong Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and Cowboy Casanova vibes from it. Maybe not full on country, but the most country song on the album

Did you mean: pop rock?

This is so petty but I'm living for it

It's not that John Wayne is Country, its that a lot of modern Country is basically the new Southern Rock.  Thats where the confusion is coming from.
